Although Lombok island has a small island size, it has dozens of small islands that surround it, called Gili. Do you guys ever heard Gili Trawangan? That’s it, one of Gili which is very popular and famous in domestic and international tourist.
But now, we don’t talk about Gili Trawangan, let’s we go to the East of Lombok island, it has a Gili or small island called Gili Petelu which is known as a perfect spot to snorkeling for tourist.
Gili Petelu’s Spot Snorkeling
Gili Petelu has so many myriad interesting attract for tourist to visit, like literally beautiful underwater enchantment. Many kind of fishes with varying sizes. The depth, which is only 1-2 meters, so perfect to do snorkel activity. You will see how beautiful underwater Gili Petelu’s view, so do not forget to bring GoPro for taking your activitiest documentation.
After snorkeling, you can chill on the shore with the white sand of Gili Petelu. You can also going around the island. It takes less than 5 minutes for traveler to go, because it’s quite small. The unique thing is you can see monkeys living on this island, but not so many. Because the monkeys quite wild so they are very aggressive to people, it will be better if do not make any contact with them.
Spot Gambir
Near by the first spot, you will meet the second one, it’s called spot Gambir. It has literally beautiful coral reefs with a depth which is not really different like the first one. The coral reefs still look natural. You will lose if you visit Gili Petelu but you don’t visit Spot Gambir for snorkeling.
Gili Petelu also so close by the beautiful Pink Beach or Tangsi and Pasir Island. Gili Petelu’s location is in Sekaroh Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
